Wineries and vineyards

The estate Casa Cecilia consists of 80 hectares of its own vineyards, 30 of which are planted with wine varieties, most of them Monastrell (authocthonous variety), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for the red wines. Macabeo, Moscatel, white Sauvignon and Chardonnay for the white wines. There are also some trial varieties such us Petit Verdot, Albariño and Loureira.

Our Mediterranean climatology and the continental influence, let us slow down the maturation of the grape and maintain a low humidity during the whole year. This protect the grape from the common illnesses of the vineyard.

The strict care we pay to the vineyard and the grapes guarantees a quality production with respectful production rules in favour of the environment and always respecting a moderate intake. These practices let us obtain a deeper, full bodied wine with its own soul.

These cares have been paid to wines made at Heretat de Cesilia and have resulted in obtaining some of the most important awards such as:

Wine Tourism

It has been a long time since Casa Sicilia Society, decided to dedicate its place in Novelda to recovering the ancient tradition of winery. The old modus vivendi of its ancestors, restructuring the vineyard and founding the Cellar Heretat de Cesilia.
Vectalia, the business group owner of the cellar, has been strongly committed to develop its most important activity in the services area. It has twisted the screw on the Wine Tourism sector making its main objective the promotion of knowledge about the wine and all its aspects: cultivation, elaboration, aging, commerce and, of course, tasting.
