Casa Sicilia

Casa Sicilia dates from 1707, during the period of Marqués de la Romana. It was set as a house of work for the production of fruits, wine and quality oil. The state Casa Cecilia is across the valley of Pagos de la Mola, Ledua, Sicilia and Alcaydias.

The state Casa Cecilia consists of 80 hectares of its own vineyards, 30 of which are planted with wine varieties, most of them Monastrell (authocthonous variety), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon y Syrah for the red wines. Macabeo, Moscatel, white Sauvignon and Chardonay for the white wines.
There are also some trial varieties such us Petit Verdot, Albariño and Loureira.

The soil texture, which is silt loam, has a high limestone content which is rich in iron oxide that balances and reduces the chlorosis problems that may be found in this kind of soil.

The northern part of the state is made up of clay and gypsum, with a low content of organic material, which allows the aromatic development and assures a good structure of the red wines.
The southern part is made up of alluvial river gravels and lemon. In these soils, light and fresh, the white varieties are perfectly adapted.

The wine, essence of our land, has came into life thanks to the care we offer to our stock and the work of our human team leaded by our experienced oenologist that knows how to respect the raw materials to show all its personality.

Only 1 km away from the historic center of Novelda and 27 km away of Alicante stands our winery, Heretat de Cesilia, in the Casa Sicilia state. Surrounded by great vineyards and unbeatable views of the Santa Maria Magdalena sanctuary you will enjoy a great day on a privileged environment.
